Council of Ministers of BiH Approves Funds for Indirect Taxation Authority's Premises in Godfather Milorad Dodik's Building

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH today adopted the Decision on Amendments and Additions to the Decision on Approving the Project for Procurement and Construction of Facilities for Regional Centers and the Central Office of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina (UIO BiH) and the construction and reconstruction of border crossings, which extends the implementation of this project until the end of 2025.

According to this decision, KM 71,400,000 has been approved for the procurement and equipping of the facility for the Central Office, namely KM 67,500,000 for the procurement of the facility and KM 3,900,000 for equipping. These are transferred budget funds from previous years in the amount of KM 69,400,000 and funds approved by the Budget for 2024 in the amount of KM 2,000,000.

In addition, with this decision, funds in the amount of KM 32,000,000, approved by the Budget for 2024, are allocated for the procurement of the facility for the Banja Luka Regional Center.

This aims to ensure permanent accommodation for the UIO BiH in Banja Luka and enable better working conditions for employees in the Central Office and the Regional Center, as well as achieve long-term savings of budget funds, given that rent is currently paid for multiple premises in Banja Luka at mutually separate and distant locations.

At the same time, through the amendments and additions to the Decision, funds in the amount of KM 1,000,000 will be secured in the Budget for 2025 for the construction of the Viganj border crossing.

By the agreement between BiH and the Republic of Croatia, the Viganj – Bili Brig border crossing, on the Livno – Sinj route, is designated as a permanent border crossing for border traffic.
