Council of Ministers of BiH without a session for a month, agenda for Wednesday still unknown

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH is a reflection of the current state of the country. Dysfunctional, dependent on policies that are leading BiH to destruction and consequences that will no longer be repairable.

The last session of the Council of Ministers of BiH was held on July 28 in a telephone format.

The next one is scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, but the agenda has not yet been published. Additional deadlines for the adoption of the final Reform Plan for the Growth Plan have expired, and we are facing a new reduction in the tranche after a reduction of 108.5 million euros. The final deadline for submitting the Reform Agenda is the end of September. However, after the events in RS and the revocation of Milorad Dodik's mandate, they are saying from that entity that the EU is no longer a goal. The two ministers coming from RS, Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić, can block all agenda items, meaning they can defeat them in the vote itself, so the Council of Ministers of BiH is already in a kind of blockade, and numerous processes are on hold.

At the same time, the Consortium Logistika BiH announces protests and blockade of road traffic for the beginning of September.

They are demanding that the state Minister of Transport and Communications, Edin Forto, amend and supplement the Rulebook on Licenses.

"You do not need any committee for amendments to the Rulebook – this is your Rulebook. If you had asked the carriers before its publication, we would not be in this situation today. You consulted exclusively with an interest group, not with the real sector. We ask you to publicly state the name of one carrier with whom you discussed this topic.

Behind our proposal stands an army of 47,000 families who live from transport, while you defend a group of four people. On our side is the interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the opposite side – you know well who.

We call on you to finally do your part of the job in accordance with the Law. You know well that the elements of the current Rulebook are not even in accordance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We call on you to stop proposing unreasonable and unrealistic provisions – because what we are asking for is not a maximalist demand, but a realistic and achievable minimum. This is the minimum you promised the carriers", states the announcement from the Consortium Logistika BiH.

The Consortium demanded that the state act uniformly before the institutions of the European Union and seek better treatment for BiH drivers who are often arrested for exceeding the number of days spent in the EU within 180 days. Given that drivers often only pass through EU countries to their final destination, it was requested that drivers no longer be arrested and that some relief be found.
