COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF BIH Gudeljić: Do not succumb to fear and do not raise panic over coronavirus

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Justice of BiH Josip Grubeša said today after the session of the Council of Ministers that the norms of the Law on Misdemeanors have been harmonized. 

Grubeša pointed out that the Law on Salaries and Other Compensations in Judicial and Prosecutorial Institutions at the level of BiH has been established.

The law, he explained, refers to various lawsuits by judicial workers, and the goal is to reduce such lawsuits. 

Grubeša also spoke about projects that his ministry will lead, which relate to the adoption of certain strategies, primarily for the prosecution of war crimes.   

This strategy has been sitting in drawers for two years, and Grubeša said he asked Zoran Tegeltija to put it on the agenda as soon as possible. 

“The strategy was developed by experts and I am not able to change it,” concluded Grubeša. 

The Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH Ankica Gudeljić spoke about the coronavirus. 

“The BiH public is concerned, I will convey to you what I know. The Ministry of Civil Affairs is in constant contact with the WHO. Based on information, there are no restrictions in international trade. Enhanced epidemiological surveillance is being conducted in BiH. At all border crossings, every traveler coming from China is checked and fills out a specific questionnaire. I appeal to everyone not to succumb to fear and not to raise panic, but to follow the instructions. These are washing hands, disinfection, and covering the nose and mouth when coughing. At markets, avoid direct contact with animals, cook meat. Today the WHO is meeting and they announced that they will make a decision on possibly declaring a public health event of international concern,” said Gudeljić.
