Vidović appeals against extension of custody for Jerko Ivanković Lijanović

Vasvija Vidović, the defense attorney for Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, confirmed that she has filed an appeal against the decision to extend her client's custody for another 60 days, writes the BH News Agency Patria. We remind you that the Court of BiH accepted the proposal of the BiH Prosecutor's Office on October 10 to extend the custody for another 60 days for those arrested in the 'Brend' operation on September 10.

Custody has been extended for the current Federal Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Water Management, and Forestry Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, his brothers Slavo and Jozo, Federal Minister of Trade Milorad Bahilj, and accountant Mirko Galić. Custody was extended due to the risk of flight and the possibility of influencing witnesses.

- The Appellate Panel needs to make a decision, and I expect it could take about 10 days. These are detention cases that are resolved urgently - said Vidović.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office suspects these individuals of organized crime, causing damage to BiH amounting to 11.6 million convertible marks.
