VIDEO/PHOTO Event 'Vlašić Ljuta Greda 2025' Held

(Patria) - The central event 'Vlašić Ljuta Greda 2025' was held today at the 'Freedom and Peace' Memorial Park in Ljuta Greda, as part of the observance of 'Victory Day, Pride Day'.



This event aims to preserve the culture of remembrance and pay tribute to the fighters of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to institutionalize the memory of the victories from the defense-liberation war of 1992–1995.



The event is being held for the third time in the area of Travnik municipality, and this year it gathered a large number of citizens, representatives of veterans' organizations, families of martyrs and fallen soldiers, as well as officials from all levels of government. Among those present were member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović, Vice President of FBiH Refik Lendo, and many others.



The program began with laying flowers at the monumental memorial monument 'Ljiljan', ceremonially opened last year in honor of the legendary general Mehmed Alagić and all fighters of the Army of RBiH.

This is the largest lily in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a symbol of courage, resistance, and sacrifice for freedom.



We remind you that, as part of the same event, on September 16, 2023, the largest flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was raised on Vlašić mountain, on the peak of Paljenik – as a permanent symbol of freedom and statehood.
