At least 16 people have died, and dozens are considered missing after a Taiwanese TransAsia Airways plane with 58 passengers and crew crashed into the Taipei River, agencies report.
Dramatic footage shows the ATR 72-600 aircraft banking shortly after takeoff, hitting a taxi and a bridge railing with its wing before splashing into the river.
Rescue teams are searching for survivors around the partially submerged fuselage of the plane, which, according to the BBC, still contains up to 30 people.
