VIDEO Stevandić called SDP ISIL: When will his wartime past be investigated?

Nenad Stevandić, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, while guesting on Al Jazeera's show "Kontekst", where Saša Magazinović, SDP MP in the BiH Parliament, also participated, compared ISIL and SDP as one ideology when it comes to the approach to Republika Srpska, writes the Patria News Agency.

The host even reacted to this statement, saying it was a great insult.

- Just imagine what darkness must be in someone's head to equate ISIL and SDP. Imagine what can come from such people as creativity. So, it is definite that nationalists have no answer to any question, that the answer to every question is creating new problems, and they have shown that now. Spreading fear no longer helps anyone, because no one is afraid of anyone here anymore. This concept that we must all be equal in the country, only we will be more equal where there are more of us, must be defeated on all three sides, and it will be neutralized – said Magazinović.

Who is Nenad Stevandić? In May 2015, he left the SDS. The party issued a press release at the time, stating, among other things, that Stevandić was changing his party affiliation for the eighth time, which in itself says a lot about his character and actions.

In a short period, he profiled himself as Milorad Dodik's main striker, responsible for slandering the Alliance for Change and his former party SDS, from which he profited handsomely for years.

Incidentally, according to some media reports, Stevandić was a member of the wartime staff of the "Autonomous Region of Krajina of the Serbian Republic of BiH", along with convicted war criminal Radoslav Brđanin, General Momir Talić, Stojan Župljanin, Rajko Kuzmanović (current President of RS)... and numerous others.

At that time, he was allegedly already commanding the Serbian Defense Forces (SOS), which rampaged through Banja Luka and Krajina, systematically persecuting Bosniak and Croat populations, looting, burning, blowing up, killing...

During 1991, Stevandić not only sent criminals for training in Serbia and communicated with Radovan Karadžić and Jovica Stanišić, but he also intensively armed paramilitary Serbian formations, according to testimonies in The Hague.

Stevandić organized the arming and was the commander, deciding who would receive how much weapons and ammunition; he was in charge of all possible transactions.

Two to three times a week in Drvar, he supervised the distribution of weapons – claims one of the witnesses, adding that he often saw him in the company of Stojan Župljanin (Hague indictee and prisoner) and Simo Drljača and his group.

This information pertains to the end of June and the beginning of July 1991.

At that time, according to testimonies, Stevandić was accused of not only arming Serbs but also allegedly selling weapons to Croats and Bosniaks, taking huge sums of money.
