VIDEO Ranka Mišić hospitalized after protest

President of the Alliance of Trade Unions of Republika Srpska Ranka Mišić was admitted last night, after 10 PM, to the emergency room of the Banja Luka Health Center due to high blood pressure and severe pain in the head and spine area, reports the Patria News Agency. 

Mišić was sent for control examinations to the University Clinical Center where she underwent a CT scan of her head and a control examination of her spine. Namely, she had two vertebrae operated on at the Clinic for Neurology of the UKC RS last autumn.

The President of the Trade Union was knocked to the ground during the protest against the adoption of the new labor law, held in front of the National Assembly, when she attempted to break through the police cordon, and was hit in the head.

Also, Mišić was roughly physically abused by the security in the National Assembly, who dragged her across the floor while attempting to forcibly remove her from the assembly hall. Meanwhile, the Alliance of Trade Unions of Republika Srpska announced that they will make a statement on further steps on Tuesday.
