Elči Ibrahim-paša Madrasa in Travnik got an anthem. In the morning program of BIR radio, it was presented by Hasan Mrkonja, editor-in-chief of the anthem production project, Zejnil Rebihić, project associate, and Šerif Delić, vocal soloist, reports the Patria News Agency.

The initiative, as well as part of the financial assistance, was launched by former students of the madrasa, who today are mostly scattered all over the world.

Elči Ibrahim-paša Madrasa in Travnik was founded in 1705, at a time when this city was the seat of the Bosnian Pashaluk within the Ottoman Empire. It is the only one of the three madrasas that has continued its work to this day, out of all that existed in Travnik.

An informal association of alumni of Elči Ibrahim-paša Madrasa living and working in Sarajevo, together with the madrasa, launched the project of recording and producing the anthem of Elči Ibrahim-paša Madrasa, as a kind of anthem of a permanent character.

The author of the lyrics is Nevres Mustafić, the authors of the music are Abdulkerim Popaja, Šerif Delić, and Eldin Huseinbegović, and the video production was realized by "Hayat Production".

Ibrahim-paša was of Turkish origin, a very good diplomat for which he earned the nickname "elči – peacemaker", and above all a good believer and benefactor, who at that time, in addition to the madrasa, endowed a number of religious and economic facilities that supported the madrasa, but which, unfortunately, have not survived to this day, except for the madrasa.
