Nihad Nino Ćatić was a journalist. Every day, via ham radio, he informed the public about the suffering of Srebrenica. Nino last reported on July 10, 1995, desperately pleading for help for Srebrenica. No one helped then. The UN handed over the protected zone to the hands of the butcher Ratko Mladić. More than 8,000 elderly men, men and boys were killed.
His mother Hajra recalls seeing her son for the last time on July 11. He told her, „Mom, you and Dad go to Potočari, and I will go with friends through the forest to Tuzla.“ After that, no one ever saw Nino again.
The remains of Nino Ćatić have still not been found, Patria reports.
