VIDEO Storm caused great damage to farmers in Visoko

(Patria) - Yesterday's storm with gale-force winds and hail caused enormous damage to agricultural producers in the village of Donje Moštre near Visoko. The extent of damaged greenhouses, as well as various vegetable crops, which were destroyed in open fields, is yet to be determined.

- After we determine the extent of the damage, the relevant ministry will provide funds for farmers who have suffered losses. Donje Moštre is the nucleus of greenhouse and vegetable production, and the storm hit precisely that area yesterday - says the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Vinko Marić.

He, along with the Mayor of Visoko, Mirza Granić, visited the farmers who suffered the most damage. Hamdo Frljko alone lost more than two tons of peppers ready for harvest in just a few minutes. Hamdo Neimarlija, who sells his produce at the Zenica market, had his entire crops of cabbage, peppers, cauliflower, chard, and other agricultural crops destroyed.

The President of the Union of Agricultural Producers of Plant Production, Vladimir Ferzanović, thanked Minister Vinko Marić for visiting the area affected by the storm.
