VIDEO Hungarians sent fighter jets to escort British passenger plane

A passenger on a British Airways flight from Dubai to London filmed a scene during the flight that greatly disturbed her, reports the Patria News Agency.

The plane lost contact with air traffic control at one point while passing through Hungarian airspace, and was intercepted by two Gripen fighter jets.

"I was looking out the window when my husband drew my attention to a fighter jet flying next to us. It's hard to describe the feeling. You immediately think something has gone wrong with the plane that you are unaware of, or that something bad is happening on the ground. My mouth went dry and fear washed over me. It was terrifying. I thought they were ready to shoot us down," said the passenger, and a flight attendant reassured her by telling her that such things can happen if a plane loses contact with air traffic control.
