VIDEO How Amel Sejfović escaped from Sarajevo Penitentiary

Footage of Amel Sejfović's escape from the Sarajevo Penitentiary was published in the Mreža program of Federal Television, writes Patria News Agency.

We remind you that on September 3rd, Sejfović used the time of his walk and stay in the prison infirmary, and in the part of the prison where the incident occurred, two prison guards were present. Sejfović pointed a pistol at one of the prison guards and ordered the guards to open the door, after which he fired several shots into the door with the pistol.

The person who waited for Sejfović on a motorcycle after his escape from the Penitentiary is still being searched for. Eight people are in custody, three of whom are employees of the Sarajevo Penitentiary.

Amel Sejfović is undergoing legal proceedings for the robbery of a Raiffeisen bank branch in the Sarajevo settlement of Ilidža on November 5, 2015, when a cyclist, Kemo Bašić, was killed during the escape and shootout between the robber and the security guard.

The indictment, which was confirmed on April 28, 2016, at the KS Prosecutor's Office, and which charges Sejfović with the most serious crimes of murder, attempted murder, and armed robbery, states that the robbery was planned by Amel Sejfović, Arif Hajradinović, Alma Sejfović, and Anel Hajrović.

During the bank robbery in Ilidža, Sejfović and others beat the employees and forced them to open the safes from which they took about 300,000 marks. For this reason, they bought a car and bulletproof vests a few days before the operation.
