Local elections in BiH are being held on Sunday, and more than 30,000 candidates for mayors/mayors and municipal councilors will be elected, writes Patria.

Here's a story about how to vote and when your ballot will be valid.

Your ballot for the election of a mayor or city mayor in BiH will be valid if you mark the box next to the name of only one candidate. Therefore, if you fill out the ballot differently, it will be invalid.

Your ballot for the election of councilors in the municipal council, i.e., councilors in the municipal assembly, councilors in city councils, i.e., councilors in city assemblies, and deputies in the Assembly of Brčko District will be valid if:

- you mark the box next to only one political party or coalition or list of independent candidates or the name of one independent candidate

- you mark the box next to one or more candidates within the list of only one selected political party or coalition or list of independent candidates

- you mark the box next to only one political party and mark one or more candidates within that selected political party.

In electoral units where national minority representatives are also elected, you have the option to vote for a national minority representative by marking only one name on a separate list of national minority candidates.

If you decide to vote for a national minority representative, you cannot simultaneously vote for a political party, as your ballot would then be invalid.
