VIDEO Appeal from 1,200 residents of Dobrinja 5: Drug addicts gather at neglected playground instead of children

Residents of the Sarajevo settlement Dobrinja 5, mostly families with small children, are outraged at the municipal authorities in Novi Grad and the Cantonal government for not responding to their requests to mow the grass and tidy up the children's playground, writes the Patria news agency.

There are 600 apartments in the building visible in the video recording. Immediately behind this building is a row of apartment blocks with an additional 600 apartments, specially built for young married couples (a project of the Cantonal Housing Fund).

Around 1,200 families live within a 200-meter radius, half of whom are children.

Should we wait for another accident in Dobrinja or any other part of Sarajevo for the competent authorities to react?

The residents of Dobrinja 5 are not interested in whether it is an election campaign, they are not interested in who is in power, they just want their children to have their playground, and not to wait for an animal to jump out at them from the tall grass or to get injured while playing carelessly. In the evening, drug addicts gather at the playground instead of children.
