Generous Komšić: Gives Another 15 Days of Free Entry to the City Hall

Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić is giving citizens and tourists another 15 days of free entry to the City Hall, it was announced yesterday from the City Administration?!

There would be nothing controversial if the City had the right to use and manage the City Hall building, which it does not, and that right still belongs to the National and University Library of BiH, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria. The decision of the Council of Ministers on the transfer of rights is still pending, and given that it is a national monument, the City's decision at this moment seems frivolous because they themselves had announced the start of charging entry from August 1, as according to the mayor, this is practice in all European cities.

With such a decision, the question arises whether Mayor Komšić has declared himself the owner of the City Hall, deciding when the building will be opened, closed, who will be invited, who will not, so neither the employees nor the director of NUB BiH were invited to the ceremonial opening on May 9.

We remind you that from July 17, entry to the City Hall was allowed for citizens and tourists from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and so far about 20,000 people have visited.

Today, an exhibition titled "Sarajevo City Hall, Once Again" by author Nedžad Mulaomerović was set up in the atrium of the City Hall, writes Patria.
