Great triumph in Vrapčići: Velež defeated Borac 2:1

MOSTAR, (Patria) - In the 22nd round of the BHT PLBiH, Velež defeated Borac with a score of 2:1. Velež threatened first in the 14th minute, after a good action by Pršeš, the score remained 0:0. In the 17th minute, a chance for the visitors after a mistake by the Velež defense, however, Jovanović was inaccurate. It was the 30th minute when Vehabović tried to surprise Kukrika, without a change in the score. In the 42nd minute, a chance for Fajić, Borac's defense was secure.

In the final moments of the first half, there was one more opportunity on each side, but the teams went into halftime with a score of 0:0. At the beginning of the second half, there was one chance on each side for Hasanović and Vranješ, without a change in the score on the scoreboard.

In the 65th minute, the stadium in Vrapčići erupted with joy. After a mistake by Borac's defense, Cvijanović found the visitors' net for 1:0, just two minutes after replacing Branda.

After Velež's goal, there was a chance on the other side for Zakarić in the 72nd minute, but Bobić saved. Fajić's attempt in the 76th minute, the score remained 1:0. In the 88th minute, goalkeeper Bobić made a mistake, which Zakarić took advantage of to score for 1:1, and Nusmir Fajić brought triumph to Velež in the 92nd minute.

After the match, the home team's coach, Feđa Dudić, commented, praising Velež's players and fans.

“I am proud of these guys, and every Velež fan should be proud. Mostar should be proud. We are not fooling around, we are playing football. It would have been a shame if we hadn't celebrated today, Borac didn't do anything. I want to praise the excellent refereeing. Thanks to the fans, they left nationalism and politics outside the stands,” Dudić said after the match.
