Large protests for David on July 7 in Banja Luka: The Memić family will offer support

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) – In Banja Luka, large protests will be held on July 7, organized by the father of the murdered young man David Dragičević and the group Justice for David.

David's father Davor said that he expects a large number of people, not only from Banja Luka but also from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Memić family has announced their arrival. This was confirmed for the Patria agency by Muriz Memić, the father of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, whose death has not been clarified even after more than two years, and the trial for the traffic accident is nearing its end. From the very beginning, the family has claimed that Dženan was murdered, not hit by a van as presented by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.

- We will go to support Davor in his fight for the truth. We are in constant contact and we are there for each other. We have been fighting our battle for more than two years, but we will succeed in proving what happened to my son - said Memić.

Dragičević previously stated that if the murder of his son David is not resolved before the elections, there will be no elections. He noted that this will be done exclusively through peaceful means, and not through revolutions.

- I expect everything to pass peacefully and with dignity - said Dragičević.

Dragičević submitted several hundred complaints to the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Banja Luka regarding the murder of his son. He demands that the prosecutor's office finally classify David's death as murder, and that all those who participated in hiding evidence and preventing the discovery of the truth be revealed.

The Inquiry Committee, formed by a decision of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, also identified numerous omissions by the competent authorities, and it will soon be submitted for adoption to the National Assembly.

While Davor Dragičević's fight continues, a defamation lawsuit has been filed against him by the Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska Dragan Lukač, the Director of the Police of Republika Srpska Darko Ćulum, and the Head of the Administration for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska Darko Ilić, seeking 24,000 KM.

We remind you that 21-year-old David Dragičević went missing on March 18, and his body was found on March 24. His father claims that the police leadership is directly involved in David's death, having done everything to hide the truth and declare that David committed suicide.

Peaceful protests have been held at Krajina Square for 74 days, where those gathered demand truth and justice for David.
