Large number of guests on Jahorina find refuge from polluted air in Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Mountains are today a mandatory destination for many citizens of Sarajevo and tourists staying in BiH. While Sarajevo is choking in smog and polluted air, the mountains are full of visitors enjoying clean air and sunshine.

A Patria team visited Jahorina today, where they found a large number of visitors from regional countries enjoying skiing. Many of them came for the New Year's celebration.

Most guests are from Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro. All capacities on Jahorina have been filled since before the New Year.

Despite the high temperatures for this time of year, there is still enough snow for winter activities, skiing, sledding, or simply walking. The atmosphere was slightly disrupted by a power grid failure, and teams from Elektrodistribucija Pale are working to fix the fault, which has also stopped the ski lifts.
