Major Scandals and Indictments: Two Years of "Serious" Investigation for 20 KM Bribe for Border Police!?

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an indictment against Nermin Muharem and Amrudin Omerović, police officers of the Border Police of BiH, reports the Patria news agency.

The accused are charged with, in their capacity as authorized officials, on October 27, 2013, at the Vardište border crossing near Višegrad, acting contrary to the law by prior agreement and committing a criminal offense with the intent of obtaining illegal property gain.

The accused Muharem is charged with preventing a person with a passenger motor vehicle from entering BiH, although the said person met all conditions for unimpeded entry into the country, and directing him to go to the accused Omerović, who was the shift leader, in an area not under video surveillance, where 20 KM was taken from the said person as illegal property gain.

After that, the injured party returned to the vehicle, and the accused Muharem returned his documents and allowed him to enter BiH.

This is a bribery charge. The fact that it concerns illegal property gain of ten marks per police officer seems puzzling. The names of the suspected police officers have been published, unlike the usual initials used in such cases. The question arises: what about the big fish? Citizens wonder why we have not yet had details from the Prosecutor's Office about thefts of twenty or more million? Probably that money in denominations of twenty marks is still being counted during the acquisition of illegal property gain.

In the distant 17th century, the philosopher Baruch de Spinoza said: „He who steals little is persecuted, imprisoned, or even killed. But he who steals much becomes a respected and honest citizen.“

BiH is full of respected and honest citizens, while the poorer ones ask: Did the Prosecutor's Office try to bribe us with these twenty marks spectacularly uncovered in this border crime? Especially since the incident occurred on this day two years ago.

So, it took the Prosecutor's Office two years to file an indictment for twenty marks of damage. Ten marks for each year. This confirmed that for millions, at least two or three decades are needed. This also confirmed why we are waiting for our Sanaders.
