Slightly earlier, a memorial service was held at the National Theatre, from which it was stated, among other things, that Sidran's earthly body was departing, but his spirit would remain as a guardian hovering over this city.
A large number of citizens attended the funeral, including prominent figures from the political and social life of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was led by the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein efendija Kavazović.
After the funeral prayer, the attendees carried Sidran's coffin by hand to the Ferhadija Mosque, where he was buried in the mosque's courtyard according to his wishes.
