Wholesale price of natural gas reduced by 3.69 percent from July 1

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Trade, today adopted a Decision approving the wholesale price of natural gas for distribution companies in the FBiH, effective from July 1, 2024, which amounts to KM 837.08/1,000 Sm³, or KM 0.83708/Sm³.

The price of natural gas does not include value-added tax.

This represents a 3.69 percent reduction in the wholesale price of natural gas for distribution companies (privileged tariff customers).

The Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the Federal Ministry of Trade are responsible for the implementation of this decision, each within their jurisdiction.

As explained, the Federal Ministry of Trade received a request from the company Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo for a change in the wholesale price of natural gas to distribution companies in the Federation of BiH, along with a positive opinion from the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry.

Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo stated in its request, among other things, that the new wholesale price of natural gas for distribution companies (privileged tariff customers) should be reduced by 3.69 percent, from the current KM 869.15/1,000 Sm³ (KM 0.86915/Sm³) to KM 837.08/1,000 Sm³ (KM 0.83708/Sm³).

The sales price of KM 837.08/Sm³ would be applied from July 1, 2024, and is uniform for all distribution companies in the Federation of BiH.

Furthermore, the request states that the reduction in the gas price to KM 837.08/1,000 Sm³ was influenced by the decrease in gas prices on the world market, and that the price reduction for the third quarter is conditioned by developments in the global gas and oil markets.
