The cult play "I Left My Heart in Zvornik" based on the text by BiH writer Abdulah Sidran, directed by Sulejman Kupusović who passed away last month, will be performed at Kamerni teatar 55 starting at 8 PM, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
The text speaks about the very beginning of the war in BiH, about the painful ordeal that people from eastern Bosnia went through solely because of differences in names and surnames. About hope and despair. The drama takes place in Zvornik, just before the start of the war. Rudo, a music teacher and choirmaster, is an amateur conductor who dreams of one day composing a symphony about the Drina River, inspired by Smetana's "Vltava". While returning from a school choir competition, Rudo sends his students back to Sarajevo, and he stops by his native Zvornik.
