Will the agreement between Komšić, Izetbegović, and Nikšić "fall" tonight?

As planned before the "trojka" talks, the presidents of SDP and DF, Nermin Nikšić and Željko Komšić, met in Sarajevo last night.

Tonight, it was agreed that the Deputy President of SDA, Bakir Izetbegović, will join Nikšić and Komšić, writes the Patria News Agency.  

The leaders of DF and SDP were supposed to reach an agreement on the appointment of the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Serb people, which would unblock the process of establishing executive power, and then present the conclusion to the Deputy President of SDA.

According to information obtained from SDP, today's session of the party's Presidency will consider the possibility of amending the Decision of the Main Board, i.e., the Congress resolution which defined in December that SDP remains an opposition party and will not participate in power.

One of the options, discussed last night by Komšić and Nikšić, which would be acceptable to both SDP and DF, is for SDP delegates in the Serb Club in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament to give their signatures for DF's proposal for the Vice President of FBiH, Slobodan Šoja, and to abstain during the vote.

In this way, SDP would still remain in opposition, and the Decision of the Main Board would not have to be changed.

The second option is for SDP to make a new decision today at the Presidency, which should also be confirmed by the Main Board on Saturday. With this decision, SDP would enter the government after all, and propose a candidate for the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Serb people, who would also be supported by DF.

Either of these two options will lead to the unblocking of the process of establishing government in FBiH, and as we learn from sources within the top leadership of SDA, Izetbegović, whose return from Riyadh is expected today, will also accept this.
