Heavier traffic towards the south expected in the afternoon

According to information collected from the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the Doljani border crossing, waiting times to cross the border range from 30 to 40 minutes. During the day, we expect increased vehicle traffic towards the south of our country, so for all those planning to spend their summer holidays in the Dubrovnik region, we continue to recommend using the border crossings of Čepikuće and Ivanica, and for those heading towards the Makarska Riviera and further north, we recommend the border crossings of Zvirići, Bijača, Crveni Grm and Orahovlje, where waiting times are significantly shorter, reports the Patria news agency, announced by BIHAMK.   

In the north, the biggest congestion was recorded at the Bosanska Gradiška border crossing, where waiting times to cross the border range from 40 minutes to 1 hour, and the Gradina-Jasenovac border crossing can be used as an alternative. We remind you that due to roadworks in Croatia, a traffic ban is in effect for heavy goods vehicles at the Brčko-Gunja border crossing.

Short delays occur on sections where rehabilitation works are being carried out and where compliance with the posted signage is mandatory. We highlight the following routes: Čelinac-Kotor Varoš, Čapljina-Stolac, Brod na Drini-Hum border crossing, Mostarsko raskršće-Kiseljak, and Transit through Sarajevo.

Due to regular maintenance works, traffic is moving slowly on sections of the A-1 motorway Podlugovi-Jošanica, Kakanj-Lašva (turn-off for Lašva) and the Zenica south and Lašva toll plazas (until the exit onto the main route). We ask drivers to drive with maximum caution and to respect the temporarily placed signage.
