Easter message from Hrizostom: One always loves the homeland, not only in wars and songs

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Metropolitan of Dabar-Bosnia Hrizostom, on the occasion of the upcoming Easter, sent an Easter message emphasizing that Easter is not only a holiday of joy and celebration, but also of our responsibility.

In his message, he said that he is concerned and disappointed by the emergence of neglect and irresponsibility of those to whom we have given our trust to rule and govern this country. He expressed the need to start addressing burning issues in society.

"Our Easter joy and the fullness of the holiday, and I believe that of all of you, is marred and spoiled by the difficult situation of both our faithful and the rest of the people, who live and survive with us, at times, through the difficult moments of our reality."

"We are especially disappointed by the increasingly closed and extinguished homes, deserted villages and ever rarer towns. Due to the lack of responsibility for others, we have been brought, as before, to migrate and leave across the world."

Hrizostom said that one always loves the homeland, and not only "in wars and songs."

"We remain in the hope that, as soon as possible, better and more humane interpersonal and interethnic relations will begin to be created, a more economically stable and encouraging environment, which will be attractive for the return of all those who have emigrated, been expelled and displaced," said the Metropolitan of Dabar-Bosnia Hrizostom.
