(Patria) - European Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi and High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt discussed today the European Union's report which includes a plan for the bloc's expansion to the Western Balkans.
Namely, Schmidt and Varhelyi discussed, in addition to the EU report on how much the Western Balkan countries - including BiH - have done in terms of meeting the criteria for EU accession, some other issues.
The topic of discussion was also the report that will be presented in March next year, which speaks of the positive steps BiH has taken regarding EU membership.
"We look forward to reporting to the Council in March 2024 with positive messages on the requested reforms. The door for the start of accession negotiations is open," wrote Commissioner Varhelyi on his official X account.
