SARAJEVO, (Patria) - EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Oliver Varhely today welcomed the commitment of the BiH Presidency members to implement the 14 key priorities of the European Commission so that BiH can quickly advance towards candidate status for membership in the Union.
Varhely wrote on Twitter after the meeting in Brussels that he had a "promising discussion" with BiH Presidency members Šefik Džaferović, Milorad Dodik, and Željko Komšić.
He noted that he counts on them to implement the mentioned priorities.
"Regarding migration, I emphasized that it is urgently necessary to strengthen efforts in accordance with the new EU Pact on Migration," wrote Varhely.
According to him, they also discussed the upcoming Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans, which he considers to be "good news for the region".
"The goal will be to stimulate economic development and recovery," said Varhely.
