Varhelyi calls for return to state institutions, Dodik announces RS HJPC Law by year-end

EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi spoke by phone with BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik. 

"I spoke by phone with Milorad Dodik to review developments following my recent visit. I stressed the need for urgent steps to de-escalate tensions, avoid further rhetoric and actions that undermine trust and state institutions, and an urgent return to fully functional state institutions. This is crucial for the EU perspective of BiH. Without this, there is a risk of losing significant financial assistance," Varhelyi wrote on Twitter. 

Milorad Dodik stated today that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will adopt a law on the establishment of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Republika Srpska by the end of December.

"The HJPC has been occupied by Muslims, they have taken over dominance, and now they want to model the political system through the HJPC, the Court and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH. They believe that some artificial body can debate the decisions of legislative bodies," Dodik said.

He added that threats of sanctions are not reasonable, and that Germany can do whatever it wants, but they will continue on their path.
