Varea signs for Željezničar

Argentine striker Juan Manuel Varea today signed a one-year contract with the team Željezničar, reports the Patria News Agency.

Varea was born on March 23, 1986, in Buenos Aires. He started his career at Velez Sarsfield, then played for Deportivo Espanol, Central Cordoba, Široki Brijeg, and last season he wore the jersey of Ravan Baku.

He played 73 matches for Široki Brijeg and scored 25 goals. In 2010, he was declared the best foreign footballer in BiH. According to the transfermarkt.de portal, the Argentine's value is 650 thousand KM.

Varea stated that he is very happy about signing for the most trophy-winning club in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he can't wait to play at Grbavica in front of Željo's fans.
