SBB Emergency Press: Decision on Remaining in Coalition with SDA to Be Made Later

An emergency press conference was held at SBB headquarters, following the imposition of a one-month detention for the party president Fahrudin Radončić, who was arrested on January 25 for obstructing the work of the judiciary and several other criminal offenses. SBB Vice President Mirsad Đonlagić stated that a decision on the coalition with SDA will be made later, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- If a decision were to be made now, it would probably be clear and expected. But morning is wiser than evening. This is definitely an attack on SBB. Before President Radončić, two prominent SBB members were detained. This is an absolute attack on SBB, which has done everything and contributed to stabilizing the situation, not only in the Federation but also in BiH. The results achieved have already shown exceptional progress of such a coalition. Why can we not suspect that someone is doing this deliberately? We will think more soberly and with a cool head tomorrow and in the coming days about how to position ourselves, and we will define our actions in the time to come – said Đonlagić.

We remind you that on January 11, Bakir Dautbašić and Bilsena Šahman were arrested for obstructing the work of the judiciary and suspicion of influencing witness Azra Sarić in the proceedings being conducted in Kosovo against Naser Keljmendi.

In a press release issued, SBB states that it will use all legal and democratic means to stop the "destabilization of the Bosniak political factor with extremely unforeseeable consequences for Bosnia and Herzegovina."

Incidentally, sessions of both houses of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament were canceled yesterday and today, and the session of the FBiH Government, which was scheduled for January 29, has been postponed to February 2, 2016.
