Horror in Zaječar: I felt a dead baby in a bag under my daughter's bed

An autopsy of the newborn delivered by A. T. from Zaječar showed that the baby was stillborn.  A toxicological examination of the baby's body has also been ordered to determine whether the girl took any preparation to intentionally induce labour, which could have possibly caused the death of the unborn child. A. T., who was in the eighth month of pregnancy, most likely gave birth the night before last in her home, and the dead child was found under the bed by her mother.

- I am still in shock. We suspected she was pregnant, given that she is in a serious relationship. Her boyfriend is a good guy. Unfortunately, I haven't spoken to my daughter yet because the doctors haven't allowed it due to her health condition - says Biljana, A. T.'s mother.

That day, says Biljana, her daughter went to the bathroom several times. She said she had diarrhoea, so nothing seemed suspicious. However, the mother later saw a bloody towel in her daughter's room.

- She was lying in bed, pale. I managed to persuade her to go to the doctor. It occurred to me that she might have had a haemorrhage or that the bleeding was the start of a miscarriage - the mother recounts.

She took her daughter to the gynaecology department.

- When they told me she had to stay in the hospital and that they suspected she had had a suspicious abortion or had given birth, I went home. I started tidying up her bedding, which had a little blood on it. When I began cleaning under the bed, I saw a colourful bag. I touched it and was shocked! Terrible. I didn't have the courage to open it. I immediately went to the police, and they came to conduct an investigation - says this woman.

She says she doesn't understand, given that she has three children, how her daughter didn't make a sound. The police told her that the girl gave birth in the bathroom, but that the bathroom was extremely clean and there wasn't a drop of blood anywhere.

- I am by my child's side, I will support her no matter what happened, I will be with her with all my strength - says mother Biljana.

A. T. was admitted to the Gynaecology Department of the hospital in serious condition.

- We immediately gave her four units of blood and started the necessary therapy. The girl is now stable, out of danger - they say from the hospital.

She told the medical staff that she gave birth to a baby who showed no signs of life, reports Blic.
