Offensive graffiti glorifying the so-called Herceg-Bosnia still not removed!

The graffiti glorifying the so-called Herceg-Bosnia, drawn on a retaining wall in Dračevo near Čapljina, which was created in April this year, is still visible and has not been painted over, writes Patria.

JP Roads of the Federation of BiH also stated in April that they would order the Youth Association "Hercegovac" to remove the graffiti, but this was never done.

- As the Youth Association "Hercegovac" created the graffiti on the retaining wall (road structure) and requested to pay a fee, they were instructed on how and where they could advertise, and they, like everyone else, were ordered to restore the structure, which is not intended for such use, to its original state – say JP Roads of FBiH.

They clarify that in accordance with the Rulebook on the placement of advertising signs on roads, it is stated that advertising signs must not be placed at intersections, on the inner sides of sharp curves, on road structures (tunnel portals and inside them, bridges, overpasses, retaining walls, etc.), at points where public roads cross railway lines, together with other traffic signs, nor should they be placed at a distance of less than 30 m from traffic signs.

- JP Roads of FBiH has sent an urgent request to the Association to restore the retaining wall to its original state, and if they do not do so, they have been ordered to act in accordance with Article 65 of the Law on Roads of FBiH and the Rulebook on the placement of advertising signs on roads and to file a report with the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs, and to paint the retaining wall at the owner's expense – further state Roads of FBiH.

We remind you that young people from the Association "Hercegovac" drew graffiti on the retaining wall next to the main road M17, in the village of Dračevo near Čapljina, at the intersection for Neum (Svitava). The graffiti reads: "In vain do heroes write history, when those who erase the truth appear. Herceg-Bosnia gave its sons, and today there are no words of thanks for her!". In addition to the graffiti, the coat of arms of Herceg-Bosnia is also depicted. This is offensive graffiti for the other two constituent peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
