28 mandates determined for the Sarajevo City Council

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Based on the Report on the conducted indirect elections for the City Council of the City of Sarajevo from the municipal councils, the Central Election Commission of BiH, at its 29th (urgent, correspondent) session held on 26.02.2021, determined the results of the indirect elections for the City Council of the City of Sarajevo.

Decisions on determining the results of indirect elections and allocating mandates from the municipal councils of Stari Grad Sarajevo, Centar Sarajevo, Novo Sarajevo, and Novi Grad Sarajevo for the City Council of the City of Sarajevo will be published on the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH, www.izbori.ba, and will be considered delivered to all participants in the election process on the day of their publication.

In accordance with Article 6.9 paragraphs (1) and (2) of the Election Law of BiH, an appeal against the decisions on determining the results of indirect elections and allocating mandates for the City Council of the City of Sarajevo can be filed through the Central Election Commission of BiH to the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH within two days from the date of publication of the decision on the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH, i.e., on 27 and 28.02.2021.

Appeals are submitted exclusively by fax to the number 033/251-329, by e-mail to [email protected], or in person at the headquarters of the Central Election Commission of BiH (Sarajevo, Danijela Ozme 7 Street). The protocol office of the Central Election Commission of BiH will also be open on the weekend of 27 and 28.02.2021, from 08:00 to 16:00.

After the determined mandates, 12 councilors from the Bosniak people, 6 councilors from the Croat people, 6 councilors from the Serb people, and 4 from the Others will enter the City Council.
