Final results of early elections for the Mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo determined

(Patria) - After the deadline for receiving ballot materials from voters voting by mail from abroad expired (concluding on November 3, 2023), the Central Election Commission of BiH today, at its 70th session, adopted a decision determining the results of the early elections for the Mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, held on October 29, 2023.

The aforementioned decision on determining and publishing the results of the early elections for the Mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo enters into force on the day of its adoption and will be published on November 6, 2023, on the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH by 4:00 PM, and it will be considered that it has been delivered to all participants in the election process on the day of publication.

November 7, 8, and 9, 2023, are three days for submitting requests for a recount of ballots. In accordance with Article 6.9, paragraphs (1) and (2) of the Election Law of BiH, an appeal against the decision on determining and publishing the results of the early elections for the Mayor of the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo can be filed through the Central Election Commission of BiH to the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH within two days from the date of publication of the decision on the website of the Central Election Commission of BiH.

Requests for a recount of ballots and objections must be submitted exclusively by fax to the number 033/251-329, by email to [email protected], or in person at the headquarters of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Danijela Ozme Street number 7, Sarajevo.

The procedure for submitting requests for a recount of ballots is prescribed by the provisions of Article 5.30 of the Election Law of BiH.
