Amounts of Fitr Sadaqah for 2025 Determined: 12, 15, and 20 KM

(Patria) - The Council of Muftis of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina has decided that the amount of Fitr Sadaqah for Ramadan 1446 AH, or 2025, for the territory of our country amounts to 12 KM, 15 KM, and 20 KM.

Fitr Sadaqah represents a religious obligation for every adult Muslim man and woman who possesses surplus food after a day's sustenance during Ramadan.

This obligation is tied to the head of the household, who pays Fitr Sadaqah for themselves and their family members, in accordance with their financial capabilities.

The amount of Fitr Sadaqah has been determined in three categories, taking into account different economic conditions and dietary standards among believers.

The aim of this division is to enable everyone to fulfill their obligation in a way that suits their capabilities, while maintaining the basic principle of solidarity and care for those in need.

The Council of Muftis has also decided on the amount of Nisab for the months of Shaban, Ramadan, and Shawwal 1446 AH. Nisab, as the threshold for Zakat obligation, amounts to 15,707 KM, or 8,026 Euros, or 8,292 US Dollars.

We remind you that the full intention of the regulations for Fitr Sadaqah and Zakat is realized exclusively through institutional collection into the Baitul-mal Fund and its institutional distribution. This ensures transparency, proper distribution, and assistance to those who need it most.

The Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina calls on believers to fulfill this important religious duty in accordance with the regulations, and thereby contribute to strengthening collective care and support for those in need.
