Amendments to Two Laws Adopted, No Session of the PS BiH House of Representatives on Saturday

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) at its 17th session adopted, under urgent procedure, the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Procurement. The House previously adopted the request of deputies from the SDA Deputy Club to consider this Proposal for a Law under urgent procedure.

The House also adopted, under urgent procedure, the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Medicinal Products and Medical Devices. Previously, the request of deputies from the SDA Deputy Club to consider this Proposal for a Law under urgent procedure was adopted.

Along with these two proposals for laws, the House of Representatives adopted a conclusion proposing to the House of Peoples of PSBiH to consider the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Procurement and the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on Medicinal Products and Medical Devices under urgent procedure, because, as stated in the conclusion, the proposals for laws are of a high degree of urgency and are formulated in a simple manner.

Deputies held a discussion on the agenda item „Information from the Public Procurement Agency of BiH and the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of BiH on necessary conditions, obstacles and all available solutions for the urgent procurement of vaccines against the coronavirus, with appropriate material in written form“, which was included in the agenda at the proposal of deputies Predrag Kojović, Damir Arnaut, Zukan Helez, Saša Magazinović, Nenad Nešić, Mirjana Marinković-Lepić, Aida Baručija, Jasmin Emrić, Nada Mladina, Zlatan Begić and Dženan Đonlagić.

After the discussion, the House adopted a conclusion instructing the Public Procurement Agency of BiH and the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of BiH to submit, within seven days, information on necessary conditions, obstacles and all available solutions for the urgent procurement of vaccines against the coronavirus, which will be considered at the first regular session of the House of Representatives.

A conclusion was also adopted by which the House of Representatives instructs the Chairperson of the House of Representatives to cancel the 11th urgent session of the House, scheduled for Saturday, 27 February 2021, with one agenda item: „Information from the Public Procurement Agency of BiH and the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of BiH on necessary conditions, obstacles and all available solutions for the urgent procurement of vaccines
against the coronavirus.“

The House of Representatives also adopted a conclusion requesting the Director of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina to apply Article 38 of the Law on Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina when considering requests for registration of a vaccine against the coronavirus.
