Integrated Border Management Strategy with Action Plan Adopted

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security, adopted the Integrated Border Management Strategy in BiH and the Action Plan for its implementation for the period 2025-2029, thereby harmonizing integrated border management in our country with the EU acquis.

By adopting this strategy and the accompanying action plan, Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to develop and align its own concept with the new European concept of integrated border management with the aim of effective border surveillance and strengthening inter-agency cooperation within BiH.

The new concept of the Strategy will contribute to strengthening partnerships, stability, and economic prosperity of BiH, and will strengthen cooperation with the countries of the region, with better coordination and cooperation of all relevant services and agencies involved in border surveillance and control.

At the same time, the implementation of strategic measures will ensure a more functional and efficient border management system in BiH, which will result in increased overall security in Bosnia and Herzegovina and facilitate the flow of people, goods, and transport vehicles across the border.

The coordinating body will submit a report on the implementation of this strategy and the accompanying action plan to the Council of Ministers of BiH once a year.
