Law on the Termination of the VSTV of BiH Mandate Adopted

(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH) adopted, under an urgent procedure, the Bill on the Termination of the Mandate of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (VSTV) of BiH, in its current composition, proposed by Dragan Mektić. 24 representatives voted FOR, 11 voted AGAINST, and there were no abstentions.

This law will now go to the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, where, given the current situation and political climate, it is expected to be rejected.

The proposed law stipulates that the mandate of the current members of the VSTV of BiH shall cease on June 15, and that judicial bodies, bar associations, and BiH institutions that elect members of the VSTS shall complete the process of electing new members of the VSTV of BiH no later than June 8.

The members of the VSTV are Milan Tegeltija (President), Jadranka Lokmić-Misirača, Ružica Jukić, Jadranka Stanišić, Goran Nezirović, Mahmut Švraka, Slavo Lakić, Željka Radović, Duška Bogojević, Berina Alihodžić, Selim Karamehić, Dragomir Vukoje, Amila-Mimica Kunosić, Monika Mijić, and Milijana Buha.
