Constitutional-Legal Committee of the House of Representatives of BiH Parliament did not support Zvizdić's bill on the Supreme Court of BiH again

(Patria) - At the 17th session of the Constitutional-Legal Committee of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH), conformity with the BiH Constitution and legal system was not established, nor were the principles of the Bill on the Supreme Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by MP Denis Zvizdić, accepted. This committee already gave a negative opinion on February 28, 2024, and the House of Representatives at its session at the end of February did not accept the previously submitted negative opinion and returned the proposed law to it for reconsideration and submission of a new report. However, this time too, the opinion is negative.

The Constitutional-Legal Committee did not establish conformity with the BiH Constitution and legal system of the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, proposed by the House of Peoples of the PSBiH.

Members of the Constitutional-Legal Committee did not support the initiative by MP Denis Zvizdić, by which the House of Representatives of the PSBiH requests the Government of the Federation of BiH, the Government of Republika Srpska, and the Government of Brčko District BiH to, within 60 days of the adoption of this initiative, prepare amendments to the entity criminal codes and the Criminal Code of Brčko District BiH that will define "reckless driving in road traffic" as a separate criminal offense.

A proposal was adopted for all members of the Committee, as well as officials from the Committee Secretary's Office, to participate in the XXII consultation on criminal law, which will be held from June 05 to 08 this year in Neum.
