Constitutional Court of BiH again declared January 9th unconstitutional, Krišto's request also rejected

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has challenged the Law on the Day of Republika Srpska, an entity in BiH, meaning the Court assessed that January 9th cannot be celebrated as the day of that entity, the Constitutional Court of BiH announced, Patria news agency reports.

The request for an assessment of the constitutionality of the Day of Republika Srpska was submitted in January last year by nine Bosniak and Croat delegates in the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska.

The decision on the unconstitutionality of January 9th as the Day of RS was made by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina at a session held on March 28th and 29th, 2019.

The Constitutional Court also rejected as inadmissible the request of Borjana Krišto, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for an assessment of the constitutionality of the Instructions on Amendments to the Instructions on the Procedure for Conducting Indirect Elections for Authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina covered by the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
