ESTABLISHED AFTER 10 YEARS POSKOK GRAND OPENING ON MAY 6

(Patria) - Special Departments for Combating Corruption, Organized and Inter-Cantonal Crime of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of FBiH (POSKOK) and the Supreme Court of FBiH started operating on April 30, and the grand opening will be held on May 6 at the headquarters of this judicial institution. The POSKOK premises are at Alipašina 6, and the sign placed there has a slightly different name for this department: Special Department for Corruption, Organized and Inter-Cantonal Crime.

A delegation from the USA, as a partner in the fight against corruption and crime, will attend the opening of POSKOK, the establishment of which has been awaited for ten years. We remind you that the Law on Combating Corruption and Organized Crime in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was passed in 2014, and the establishment of new judicial institutions has been pending since then.

As previously announced by the Federal Prosecutor's Office, the Special Department was established with the aim of more efficiently prosecuting the most complex cases of corruption, organized crime, financial crime, as well as other corrupt criminal offenses that pose a serious threat to legal certainty and the rule of law, and undermine the stability of society.

The Department will take over cases within its jurisdiction from ten cantonal prosecutor's offices, and maximum effort will be invested in their resolution.

We remind you that Hrvoje Čabrajić is at the head of POSKOK, and the following have been appointed as prosecutors in the Special Department: Aida Bešlija, Amra Mehmedić, Samir Selimović, Nina Šahinpašić, Medina Džerahović, Aid Hadžismailović, and Jovo Karić.

The following have been appointed as judges: Igor Todorović, Mersudin Pružan, Senad Osmić, Ajla Papović-Mujan, Pavo Radoš, Enisa Adrović, and Željko Rezo.
