Successful Joint Training of EUFOR and BiH Armed Forces: Strengthening Interoperability and Refining Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures

(Patria) - Members of EUFOR and the Armed Forces (AF) of BiH successfully conducted joint training activities in Pazarić and Butmir base from March 16 to 19, taking an important step in preparations for the upcoming exercise "Combined Resolve 26", scheduled for April.



This training cycle is part of EUFOR's enduring commitment to support the development, readiness, and operational effectiveness of the AF BiH through regular, structured cooperation.

During the four-day period, EUFOR and AF BiH units carried out a comprehensive program of coordinated exercises designed to enhance interoperability and refine joint tactics, techniques, and procedures.



The training activities covered a wide range of operational disciplines, including tactical helicopter troop insertion, checkpoint establishment, patrolling, medical evacuation procedures, and cordon and search operations.



All scenarios were selected to reflect realistic operational challenges, ensuring that both forces can successfully respond to a wide spectrum of potential security situations.

The joint training provided a valuable opportunity for soldiers to work in mixed teams, enabling them to better understand the capabilities, communication methods, and operational approaches of the other side.



Such close cooperation helps ensure seamless joint operations between EUFOR and the AF BiH during complex missions, whether supporting civil authorities, responding to crisis situations, or maintaining a secure and stable environment throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In addition to tactical advantages, this activity has further strengthened the long-standing partnership between EUFOR and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.



Regular joint training remains crucial for maintaining a high level of readiness, fostering mutual trust, and ensuring that both forces remain prepared for a swift and professional response to any security challenges that may arise.

As preparations continue for the "Combined Resolve 26" exercise at Manjača from April 20 to 24, EUFOR remains committed to supporting the AF BiH and contributing to the stability and security of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
