Roads Zavidovići – Kamenica and Vareš – Pogar to be renovated soon

(Patria) - The Cantonal Directorate of Roads of Zenica-Doboj Canton, in accordance with the adopted Plan for the Protection, Maintenance, Reconstruction, and Construction of Regional Roads in 2025, announced on Monday a public call for the execution of works on two regional routes in the areas of Vareš and Zavidovići.

The total value of the reconstruction and modernization works under this public call, excluding VAT, amounts to 698,965.82 KM, and the funds are secured from the budget item of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Transport, Communications and Environmental Protection of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

- 442,555.56 KM plus VAT will be spent on the renovation of the roadway of the regional road R444 Vareš – Pogar this year, while 256,410.26 KM excluding VAT has been allocated for the renovation of the regional road R466 Zavidovići – Kamenica through the public call. Earlier, a call was also published for the renovation of the bridge over the Gostović River in the settlement of the same name on the regional route Zavidovići – Kamenica, worth 200,000 KM. From regular maintenance, we will also spend significant funds on the renovation of this road route, thereby continuing to create better living conditions for the local population, as well as for the development of tourism in the Gostović Valley and the protected natural area

Works are underway on several regional road routes in the Canton, and the goal of the relevant ministry and the Cantonal Directorate of Roads of ZDK is to publish public calls for all planned projects in 2025 within the next few days. In this way, the procedure for selecting the most favorable contractor would be completed in a timely manner, and the selected entities would realize the road infrastructure improvement projects by the end of autumn, for which the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton has secured a record 24,664,000.00 KM, announced the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Transport, Communications and Environmental Protection.
