SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Police and the prosecution have been conducting an operation in the Istrian region since this morning, arresting and searching homes and offices in a criminal investigation targeting 12 former leaders of the Uljanik Group.
Croatian media have confirmed that USKOK, in cooperation with the County State Attorney's Office, began arrests and searches in the Istrian region early this morning.
The investigation is related to "the implementation of the restructuring of the shipyard from Rijeka, i.e., the operations of the group of companies."
Due to the size and complexity of this operation, in which more than 100 police officers are participating, a headquarters has been organized to coordinate all activities, and the Ministry of the Interior says they expect the actions to last throughout the day.
