AGREED OR NOT The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Draft Law on the Court of BiH

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina should consider the new text of the Draft Law on the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina at today's session, as previously announced by the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto.

In a letter to the EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, in which she informed him about key reforms, Krišto stated that several documents crucial for fulfilling our country's reform obligations, including the Law on the Court of BiH, will be on the agenda of the upcoming session of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

Because of this, representatives of Republika Srpska reacted strongly, emphasizing that the law is not agreed upon. The seat of the Appellate Division, as well as certain jurisdictions of this court, are contentious.

Otherwise, the ministers are also expected to consider the new text of the Proposal for the Medium-Term Work Program of the Council of Ministers of BiH 2024 - 2026.

The Proposal for the Strategy and Action Plan for the Implementation of the Integrated Border Management Strategy in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2024 - 2029 should also be on the agenda.

The Council of Ministers of BiH should, in the second round of voting, declare on the Proposal of the Decision on Amending the Decision on the Formation of the Appellate Board at the Council of Ministers of BiH.

The Report from the Central Database on Serious Criminal Offenses Committed in BiH in 2023 should also be considered.

Among other things, the Proposal of the Decision on Determining Planned Revenue Amounts from the Provision of Air Navigation Services (Route Charges) in BiH Airspace for 2024, as well as the Framework Program of Activities of the Member of the Permanent Joint Commission of Senior Representatives of the Successor States of the Former SFRY and the programs for continuing the implementation of the Agreement on Succession Issues by authorized negotiators for: Annex B, Annex C, and Annex D, should be presented to the ministers.
