Donation from Sarajevo Canton MUP Handed Over

Sarajevo Canton Minister of Internal Affairs Nermin Pećanac and Police Commissioner Vahid Ćosić today handed over a donation of material and technical resources to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of BPK Goražde. The donation consists of 200 sets of police uniforms and one passenger motor vehicle, reports the Patria News Agency.

This form of cooperation certainly represents encouragement for all members of the two ministries, as well as all citizens, because in a practical sense, better-equipped security forces represent a guarantee of citizen security in both Cantons, which is the ultimate goal of such actions.

In addition to the ministers and police commissioners of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton and the MUP of BPK Goražde, the prime ministers of these two Cantons with their associates also attended the ceremonial handover of the donation. In their addresses to those present, ministers Pećanac and Musić expressed mutual satisfaction with the realized donation, emphasizing the need for such examples of willingness to help and cooperate to be the basis of relations for other ministries in the governments of the two Cantons in the future.

After that, in front of the ceremonially lined-up Unit for Prevention of Disturbances of Public Order and Peace, Minister Nermin Pećanac officially handed over the donated equipment and vehicle to Minister Nijaz Musić.
