Square of the Victims of Genocide in Srebrenica near the Railway Station is being tidied up

The fountain at the Square of the Victims of Genocide in Srebrenica in front of the Sarajevo Railway Station entrance has begun to be cleaned with the aim of revitalizing this facility, which has been in very poor condition for years. Graffiti will be removed from the fountain, garbage in the fountain and pipes will be cleaned, and sandblasting and application of an anti-graffiti layer will be performed, writes Patria agency.

- This is just one of a series of activities that the City of Sarajevo has undertaken during the tourist season to make the City tidier. In the coming period, the City will ensure that the square and the fountain in front of the Railway Station are worthy of the name they bear - it was announced from the City Administration.

Otherwise, this square has been neglected for years, and numerous tourists who came to Sarajevo by train were shocked by the sight, especially since it bears the name of the Srebrenica victims.

Given that railway traffic has expanded recently with the introduction of new lines with the Talgo train, the number of tourists coming to Sarajevo has also increased. The least that can be done is to keep this space clean and tidy.
