Appeals Committee and Mirsad Vilić: Introduce regular psychological examinations for police officers

The Chairperson of the Committee on Citizens' Complaints of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) Vjekoslav Vuković and committee members Aleksandra Martinović, Negosava Stjepanović, Semir Šut and Tihomir Marinčić visited the headquarters of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH and talked with the Director Mirsad Vilić and his Deputy Mile Jurić, reports the Patria News Agency.

According to Vilić, it is necessary to create conditions for the best possible cooperation among police bodies in BiH, as creating a positive image among citizens will result in trust in their work.

- In the coming period, additional efforts should be made to permanently resolve the issue of the Directorate's accommodation, and to ensure conditions for police officers to exercise their rights in accordance with the Law on Salaries and Other Allowances in BiH Institutions – says Vilić.

It is interesting that during the conversation, the interlocutors concluded that it is necessary to introduce regular annual psychological examinations for police officers due to potential unforeseen situations that have occurred during the use of firearms by police officers.
