Prosecutor's Discipline Office of HJPC: Removal of Čavka from prosecutor position requested

The Prosecutor's Discipline Office of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH today submitted a request to the First Instance Commission of the HJPC of BiH for the temporary removal of Oleg Čavka from his duties as prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, it was announced from the HJPC, reports the Patria News Agency.

- The request was submitted because an investigation has been launched against him in criminal proceedings. The Office requested that the First Instance Disciplinary Commission remove prosecutor Čavka from duty until the investigation against him is concluded. According to the Rules of Procedure of the HJPC, the First Instance Commission is obliged to decide on the Office's request within a maximum of eight days - the HJPC statement reads.
